The Bible & the Future…the belief in a real heaven & hell location for eternity.
Our Creator desires to take us back to the origin Eden Garden…perfection, beauty, peace, love, joy, LIFE. He created us in His image & likeness…we were created to experience eternity with Him. He saves His best for last.
We choose our eternal destination (heaven or hell…to be in God’s presence or absent) based on our response to Jesus atoning sacrifice.
God our Father doesn’t send anyone to hell…they choose their destination based on how they lived their live while here on earth no matter how long or short.

addition to my previous answer.
My non-Christian friends want to have personal control of their lives in all ways no matter what it takes. Those who believe in becoming a part of the universe think their works and attitudes will get them there. I have to say that the unfortunate trend where I live s Christians wanting to call their own shots, take the reigns. Even though they will deny it they seem themselves as more important to God that other and that gives them a certain entitlement. Even some of my family. Hurts. -
To me the promise of everlasting life with Jesus is huge but it seems that my friends are happy just working toward being a “particle of the Universe.” I can talk with them about the Sermon on the Mount scriptures because it points out what a true Christian is supposed to act like but most of them act that way already and even better if the truth be seen. I just continually revert to the fact that even though I have nothing and have lost everything more than once I still have the heart of Jesus and I love Him beyond anything else. Sometimes the fact that I can still smile gets people’s attention. I tell them that Jesus gave me this smile and no one can take it away from me!

Living according to Biblical principles. For instance, loving your enemies and doing good to them. No sex before marriage. Reading the Bible every day for spiritual guidance. I would say that studying the life of Jesus and His teachings is the only way for peace on earth. Living by Biblical principles means we love each other more which leads to less chaos and strife in the world.

Why would a God allow bad things to happen to good people…….
That we live in a fallen world, and that even though bad things may happen we have a loving God that understands everything that is happening and even though we may not see it, it is sometimes for a reason. Whether it’s for character building (relying more on him through our actions), or whatever it may be. He never leaves us nor forsakes us and because of that we can have hope.
