The biblical worldview that is least compelling to my non-Christian friends would be probably the fall. “Why would God allow generations to suffer through the entry of sin because of two people? You would need to explain free-will from that point.

I believe many struggle with believing the reality of the Bible in the first place. That God spoke through men and had them write down His words. They have a hard time with Faith and the reality of Heaven, Angels, and God. I would show them Romans 1:20 and point out that we can clearly see His attributes by the things seen in nature and its beauty and design. The Bible describes both existence of spiritual and physical realms.

I think the least compelling part of a biblical worldview, and one that I think many might struggle with, is the simple aspect of FAITH when it comes to the Bible and the future. They can maybe buy into the idea that there is a creator God and like the astronauts consider that there must be an “intelligent spiritual reality behind it”, but eternal life certainly can’t be as simple as making a decision to put your faith in Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul. Surely, I must come to the table with something. Surely, I have to offer some type of work-based righteousness. Surely, a loving God wouldn’t send me to hell. And my answer to these objections would be that a loving God would never do that, but he would also not be a just God if he there was not some form of payment made for all of our unrighteousness. We are sinners in need of a savior and “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The distinctive that would be least compelling is that we can do this on our own. We know that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. With that being said, how can we do enough? There has to be a sacrifice to stand in the gap for where we fall short.

The least compelling distinctive to my non-Christian friends would be Bible and Reality. I’d object the level of relevance by stating that it’s important to know who the Bible is from and how it came to be. That it is God breathed, not man-made.
