Which of Dr. MacCullough’s guiding questions discussed in this lesson stood out to you and why?

The question that stands out the most would be ,”Is it possible to know anything?” The Bible is our solid foundation of knowledge. How sad to think that people really believe that we don’t live in reality or that we can understand the world around us.

“What is human history?”
This question stood out to me most because it encompasses so much of what I teach every day. History as we know it began with Creation and will end when Christ returns. All that is in between is part of God’s plan of redemption and fulfillment. Everything I teach has to do with history in some form or fashion if you really think about it. We can learn so much from History and seeing how God’s hand is in it all. -
The question that stood out most to me is how do we know what is right or wrong. As a school counselor, many students will question our school’s rules, and the authority of the school to enforce them. It is important for students to understand that there is such thing as absolute truth, a standard of morality that is above us, and that God has empowered authorities in our lives to enforce and uphold morality.

To some degree each question is interesting to me because I believe that each of these questions relate to the metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology that is discussed in the CPoE course.

“What is the meaning of human history?” History is God’s story of creation, fall redemption, fulfillment. Knowing this helps me keep the right perspective as our world is turning further and further away from God.
