The question that stood out to me the most was: What is right and wrong? This stuck out to me the most because this isn’t the easiest for kids to determine what is right in certain situations.

Question # 5 – why is it possible to know anything at all?
That is such a broad, but important question… takes us back to the fact that there must be a Creator, beyond our ability to comprehend.

“How do you know what is right or wrong?” It is important to ensure they know what the truth is that is being communicated.

I think the one that I haven’t considered discussing with students is number 5, “Why is it possible to know anything at all? What difference does it make?” First of all, we have to make sure that students have a clear understanding of the validity of the Bible. There are thousands more New Testament Greek manuscripts (5600 copies with 99.5% accuracy of copies) than any other ancient writing. The closest is The Iliad by Homer that has 643 copies with 95% accuracy of copies. This is just one compelling example of the viability of the Bible. When you believe the Bible is a factual book, you understand that there is a creator who is the standard for all truth.

Question 6 stood out to me. I often deal with students not understanding (or sometimes simply not caring) that a behavior they are displaying is wrong and why. While they are typically not severe behavior issues, they are still ones that must be addressed before they become severe. Children have a lot of things influencing them, and they are at an impressionable age. I understand a major responsibility I have is to lead them to the Bible and help them understand what God deems as wrong and right and how to apply that knowledge in their hearts and lives. Applying this question in my planning will help me be more intentional in incorporating this with what I’m teaching, not just on a case by case basis.
