Do you find exegesis and hermeneutics to be equally challenging tasks or is one easier than the other? If one is easier, which one is it? Why do you think that’s the case?

I think it is easier to find the exegesis because it’s just basically determining who wrote the scripture to whom. It should be obvious to find this out. Keeping in mind that the hermeneutics process would be easier for me because the scripture doesn’t change in time. It is always has the same meaning and it means what it says.

I find that exegesis is easier in some cases rather than hermeneutics and that could just be because most people understand that The Bible was written many years ago and the culture is different. Because of that, trying to relate could be challenging

I like the analytics of exegesis, but I’m also partial to the often application of hermeneutics—most likely because people are so intriguing and their life experiences can make their possible applications so different from mine.

I find hermeneutics to be easier because, once I have the understanding of the passage, It becomes easier to apply it.
Exegesis is harder as I have to understand the passage well before I continue to apply, a wrong understanding of the passage and I will be confused and maybe not know how to apply it.
We have to understand the passage well and be confident, to make sure we don’t say what the passage did not intended to say.

I will begin to practice these biblical interpretation steps in an entirely new way. Both tasks are equally challenging. I will trust the Holy Spirit to guide me as I begin to learn this process.
