Which two worldviews are the most influential today in explaining origins? Why?

The most popular answer here is of course Monotheism and Naturalism. Creation vs. Evolution. There has been such controversy and debate that continues to create divides amongst believers and non-believers.

I would say that Monotheism and Naturalism and the top two. Many people is our culture still believe in a Creator God, and those that don’t seem to follow the scholarly influence in our culture that leans heavily toward an Naturalist Evolutionary Worldview.

Monotheistic… from Creation. Naturalistic… from evolution and science ignoring the Creation idea.

I believe Monotheism has lost ground here, and that Naturalism and Pantheism have taken more prominent rolls in our current culture. Naturalism has been drilled in through the teaching of evolution as the only acceptable theory in our public schools. And in a quest for enlightenment, many are turning to ideas that allow for everyone to be right because they all have the spirit of god in them.
