Monotheism and pantheism. Most of the world belongs to a religion of some sort, and so most people hold a worldview that involves spiritual reality in some way.

    1. Naturalism – It’s literally part of the curriculum in the public school system in United States. Just like algebra and history, Naturalistic Evolution is taught in a classroom environment and presented as absolute truth. Students are tested and graded over learning this worldview while (at least in the public school system) no other worldviews are formally taught.

    2. Existentialism – Perhaps the most influential thing we have today is social media. We have even created an entirely new professions around social media called “Influencers” and “Content Creators”. While it is possible that an Influencer or Content Creator may choose to promote or create content around a more traditional ideology, in many cases we see promotion of the self (e.g., Twitch.tv, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).

In the context of the culture in which I live, I would say monotheism and naturalism. The three major world religions all have a monotheistic worldview and I live in a region of the United States with Christianity is very prevalent. Naturalism is taught in school and many other scientific communities, museums, etc..again within the western culture that I live.

The key word being “influential” depends on the context of where you live (North America/Western Europe or Africa or China). I live in Africa but was born/raised in the USA and currently feel like an outsider to the USA – It appears to me that Americans who 30 years ago were influenced by Monotheism are now bending towards Nihilism & Existentialism. They are rejecting traditional religious values and putting importance on the right to defining who ones self is (i.e. if I was born a biological female, but feel like a male, then I can transition to be a male and require others to use male pronouns, etc.) In other words, I create my own reality.
