Who are three people you know that don’t know Jesus? What will it take for you to keep the conversation going with these three while you pray for God to save them?

Sid, Marie, Leah.

Sid and Marie have a very liberal conception of the Bible and social and moral issues. However, especially with Sid, it is easy to discuss the content of the Bible and the Gospel and the content of good books that have an apologetic interest. (He reads a lot.) Marie is his wife. She is not so open. (We share meals together once or twice a month, with opportunities to testify and bring up reasons for faith in Christ.)

Leah is a caring nurse practitioner in my heart doctor’s office. She is very intelligent and caring. I have been able to begin a discussion of the effectiveness of prayer and the need for spiritual renewal in our time. I will have intermittent opportunities to visit with her. I have a good feeling about her spiritual interest and openness to the Word of God.

I’m praying that God will bring people and experiences into the lives of each of these people that will prepare them for a life commitment to the Lord. I’m also praying for the wisdom to speak and demonstrate the Spirit’s presence when I am with them.
