My sister and I have been praying for our parents to come into a relationship with Jesus for almost 20 years now. They come to church and are hearing the words of Jesus, but their hearts are not open to changing their lifestyles.

Joni Eareckson Tada was never healed from her paralysis. I know a Sister Liang who never recovered from her cancer, although she learned to embrace death peacefully. My elder sister has not recovered from a longstanding problem. My pastor has a son who hasn’t fully come back to the Lord, although he has come home from overseas since the onset of COVID.

I know a minister who’s mother suffered from mental illness, there was countless prayers for her but she stayed in that condition until she went to be with the Lord. He cried for years for God to remove that illness from her but to no avail, he was devastated but with encouragement from his congregation and others he was restored.
Some time later we discovered that she was witnessing to the people in the hospital it is not known if any one received Christ but now he was comforted that God had a plan for his mother.
