I think people are drawn to the book of Revelation because they are curious about what their future and the future of this crazy world will be. It is dramatic and interesting but it is also confusing because there are so many metaphors used that it is hard to understand. It was also described in ways people in those days would understand and we associate things differently in our times now so it is confusing. I think it is very good to study it because I want to be able to apply it to today’s world. It also gives me hope but makes me realize that I need to take my relationship with God very seriously because of the power He has and the promises He has made.

People are drawn to the book of Revelation because it reveals the end of times. We all would love to know how the story ends. That way, we don’t have to read the entire book. However, due to the method in which revelation is written using figurative and apocalyptic literature that includes symbols and Old Testament references, the book can be somewhat complex. The value of studying Revelations varies, including capturing a vision of how all parts of the bible are interconnected.

People are curious about the end-times, and what life looks like for them after death. There is incredible value in studying Revelation– Revelation 1:3 tells us “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear the words of this prophecy and keep what is written in it, because the time is near.” This book was given to us as a blessing!

We are drawn to it because we all question truth and the end times and it is confusing because of its symbolic writing. The value is as a believer to see that we are spared Gods judgement and will be with Him.

- The book has a lot of symbols in it that tell us the future but it can be confusing at times with how the descriptions of the events unfold. There’s so many different concepts as well that can easily be confusing.
