Why are people drawn to the book of Revelation and confused by it? What might be the value in studying it?

People love to know the future and plan accordingly but once they read it they dont understand it and when they do understand it they tend to think its a future that you cant prepare for. Reading the bible and revelation after proves that there is hope, there is a future and that God has us in His hand through all of it, the good, the bad and the judgement.

Many people are drawn to Revelation because it contains prophecies and visions about the end times, the return of Christ, and the ultimate victory of God over evil. It raises questions about eschatology (the study of the end times) and the future of the world. There are numerous interpretations of Revelation, ranging from historicist, futurist, and preterist views to allegorical and symbolic interpretations. This diversity of interpretations can be confusing. Studying Revelation can lead to personal and spiritual growth as individuals grapple with questions about faith, hope, and the meaning of life in the context of God’s plan.

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness so there is great value in studying Revelations. Looking at Revelations can be confusing for those not willing to dive deep into the study of culture of the time and understand the Old Testament through the New Testament. Timing of conclusions are not defined and there is some mystery of the how the world will end and when Jesus will return.

The book of revelation is very difficult and confusing to understand because of language is poetic and figurative. It is also prophetic in nature. It is predicting the things that will happen in the future.
