I think many want to know “what’s next?” We’re hopeful that we’ll read something that will inspire our faith. The symbology makes it difficult to understand and it is written very differently than other books in the Bible.

I believe we all have this desire to know the ending, whether it is in a book, in a movie or even in our life. Sometimes this thought scares us but not enough to not want to look into it. The book of Revelation is just that, a way to see the end of the beginning. It is tough to understand bc of the symbolism the poetry and just things we can not quite grasp. While I believe God wants us to understand it is not by our power but His that we are saved and that trusting in Him is the only way to Heaven, He also wants us to know there is some mystery to it. He is not going to reveal everything so we can choose and have faith on our own.

Very interesting imagery, mystery. It’s very different from the rest of the Bible. People always want to know the future and hope to get something from Revelation to predict it all.

I was drawn to the book of Revelations because of my curiosity. The value I gained from studying it; my deeds are known by God, I will be judged according to my deeds, I will be rewarded based on my deeds, Jesus is coming back, All will bow to Jesus, received a glimpse of Heaven, peek into coming events prompted by actions in heaven and so much more.

It’s natural to be curious about what the future holds. So Revelation fulfills that deep desire to know. But the imagery and symbols make parts of the book difficult to clearly understand. There are very practical sections, such as the letters to the churches, which easily apply to churches today.
