As we have read of our beginning, so we are drawn to our final ending The forces of good and evil are at war. Prophesy is fullfilled. God’s divine character is displayed. He is letting us know what our outcome is and the entire New Testament is our instruction guide to avoid the bad outcome eternally. That is the value in reading it. We are confused by the symbolism as it causes difficulty in the interpretation. It takes a close study of the Bible to comprehend Revelation. Difficult.

The book of Revelation is full of signs and symbols that have been a challenge for many scholars to understand. The opening of Revelation indicates blessings will come to those who read it and study it.

I believe we are drawn to the Book of Revelation due to the incredible vision of the future that God has for us. We often don’t get to see what He has in store for us, but we must walk by faith. This book gives us a glimpse of what John saw. To most people, the things are confusing and terrifying. But believers are promised a new Heaven and New earth, and the eternal love of Jesus Christ, our Lord. What a promise of Love.

People may be drawn to the book of Revelation because of the symbolism which is often confusing for many of us. There is value in studying all of Scripture. Revelation helps us to know God better while giving us a little glimpse into heaven where the goodness of God will be eternally displayed.

I think the controversy around the various interpretations of the images in Revelation makes it a popular point of discussion. We need to remember that John wrote what he saw; how difficult it must have been to try to pen those crazy, wild, and incredible images!
I’ve always thought of Revelation as a book of destruction. While it does explain the destruction that comes about in the end, I now consider it to be a book of God’s love. Instead of just obliterating mankind, He sends one miracle after another to save more souls. It is fitting that The Bible, a book of God’s love and constant enduring patience for His people, should end with the most profound measure of His love.
Revelation is a powerful tool for our witnessing to others: there is a judgement; there is eternal life; God wins.
