People are drawn to the book of Revelation to glimpse and understand the prophecies of things to come in it’s pages. They may be confused by it because of the symbolism and imagery it contains. The value in studying it is it gives us insight into God’s plans.

People are drawn to it because of it’s intrigue and look into the future and heaven itself. They are confused by it because it can be hard to imagine or understand. The value in studying it is to grow in our knowledge of things to come. We can also find comfort in the final few chapters, we win!!

People like it because it prophecies about the future. It is confusing due to the thick symbolism and the fact that we still don’t know what exactly will happen and when. The value in studying Revelation is the example and instruction of the 7 churches as well as having an eye toward Jesus’ triumphant return and knowing the “signs of the times”.

Drawn to it because of their hope in Christ, curiosity of how God will deal with us; the imagery of His glory is beyond us, beyond a complete understanding. The value is to meditate on His glory that includes us.

You want to know the ending it’s a very natural thing. To know how it turns out, how we are affected by how it turns out, by how our loved ones will be affected, all drive us to search and discover.
To attempt to understand Revelations out the guidance and insight from the Holy Spirit would of course be a futile Adventure period. For me to know that God already has the plan in place for Redemption an eternal life is enough.
