Through the book of Revelation, we can see how God is going to build His kingdom, but it is also the world is beyond the limits of human understanding.

The imagery is so unique. Human nature is to want to know the ending to the story, or to know how much time we have left.

I think it’s intriguing because it has a lot of imagery that doesn’t appear so often in the rest of Scripture, and that is also why it’s confusing. The value is that it was something God gave to John in order to communicate it to us what is to come and help us understand what to look forward to in Jesus’ return.

The book of Revelation is so interesting because it has the future through out, and it is written in a way that we can’t always understand. Through that we can see God, and really learn to trust Him even when we don’t see or understand.

People want to know what is to come. It can be confusing because of the symbolic nature of biblical prophecy. The chronology can also be confusing. The value in studying it is centered on the truth that it speaks of our hope as Christians– that Jesus is coming back again. And this time he’s coming as a conquering King to destroy sin, death, and evil for good.
