People are drawn to Revelations, because it has a lot of imagery that is like out of a magical book and it makes your imagination run wild, but as interesting as it is, it is confusing to understand. The value of reading Revelation is that even though having a lot of confusing areas it still lends enough information about the coming events that a person can understand. Not to mention Revelations, reveals signs of the final days and as Jesus is speaking to the 7 churches to change their ways, and if we can relate than He is admonishing us as well. Ultimately Revelations lets us know that God is in control of it all and He is taking away evil once and for all and restoring the earth to its original design where Jesus is our Lord of all.

People are drawn to the book because of its depiction of what will happen in the end times and where this world might be headed. The confusion comes from whether or not these things have already happened or will happen and the difficulty in determining these things based on the figurative language, symbols, and references that are used in its writing. The value in studying it comes from understanding God’s final redemptive plan for the Church, His people, and the world.

It is the vision of what is to come. The imagery in the book is confusing and filled with many symbols. Understanding this gives us a better understanding of heaven and what it will look like when Jesus returns.
