Christian Learning Center Forums Discussion Forum How would you prioritize the three reasons given in this lesson for studying the Bible for yourself: “It is essential to knowing and loving God;” “It is essential for growing up in God;” and “It is essential to serving God”? What is the basis for how you prioritize them? Are any of the three reasons more or less important for you than the others? Do you have other reasons than these?

I think studying the bible gives you a deeper understanding of who God is. It helps you to understand his character and his ways. I want to know God deeply and not just superficially and I want to know his word and hide it in my heart that I might not sin against him. I want to also grow in my relationship with God. I know that I have not been growing due to a lack of bible study and understanding of who God is and what he requires of me.

I long to be obedient and without knowing God’s Word, I can never be that. Moreover, I need the hope that is found in the Bible; therefore, this reason would most important and once God’s Word is settled in my heart, I can begin to grow and out of that growth the ability to serve properly .

The principle that resonates with me more is “It is essential to knowing and loving God”
As a child of God , I want to know more about God Our Father , Our Creator . The Bible is the word of God as I study the word I embrace the truths of God , I identify with His Character and He reveals himself to me.

I think these are very much in the proper order
    1. “It is essential to knowing and loving God;” We must first know Him
    2. “It is essential for growing up in God;” Then we move from an infant to an adult in our knowledge and relationship
    3. “It is essential to serving God” Which makes us more useful in our service to Him
