I prioritize the three reasons given in this lesson for studying the Bible as 1)”It is essential to knowing and loving God” 2) “It is essential for growing up in God” 3) “It is essential to serving God”. As you know and love God and grow in your knowledge and love for God, you will be able to serve God from the love and knowledge you have of Him.

I would prioritise it in order given. Ordinarily, it is difficult to conceive how someone could serve God well without knowing God well. Nonetheless, I think all three reasons are equally important in the sense that they are inseparable. We can’t know God well and refuse to serve Him.

I believe the order they are listed is the same order of importance to me. People say they love things all the time, but in reality many of them they don’t fully know. For example, I love this artist, but do they really? What if the artist is a found to be a serial killer, would they still love them? We can’t truly love what we don’t know. So it is important for us to really study God’s word to know him. When we do, we fall in love with him.

Knowing God and loving God would be first. The only way to know Him is through His Word. Growing up in God and serving God would both be equal to me.
