Jesus could not simply be a teacher, even though he taught us a lot. You can’t be a teacher in that time and place and state some of the things he stated, like that he was God. They would have killed him long before they were able to if he was just a teacher. So knowing that, why would any sane man claim he is something he is not that he knows will get him killed? No one but the Son of God.

He was a Monotheist. He believed God was distinct from the world. He believed we are separated from God by our sins, not by ignorance of who we are.

Scripture and additional historical evidence clearly and directly point to Who Jesus was, how He lived, died and was resurrected.

Scripture is clear, Jesus is fully God and fully man. He rose from the dead. He said He would and His resurrection was affirmed by many witnesses. He was also a monotheist, not a pantheist. He did not claim to find god within Himself, He claimed to be God. Finally, He used diverse teaching methods—historical focus, theological teaching, prayer, parables, miracles—not common among gurus/yogis (Groothuis, Lecture 4).
