Why can Jesus not simply be a guru or yogi, as Eastern religions define these words?

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. He atones for the sins of sinners and He is the agent of reconciling us to God. He can’t be simply be a guru or yogi.

Jesus is much more than a teacher or mentor neither of which has any authority over man, nature even death itself. He is divine , the Messiah, the Son of the living God

Jesus cannot be a guru or yogi because these people teach that God is found inside and that we are gods. Jesus always pointed to His Father and in the gospel of John 17 his lengthy prayer to the Father for his disciples is an example of this. In Matthew 6:9-13, he teaches his disciples how to pray. The prayer opens with, “Our Father who art in heaven.” In Matthew 27:46, as he was crucified, he turns to God with a cry of, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” We see no turning inward to God, but a cry to the heavens.
From all this we see that Jesus taught of one God and that was not himself. Rather than us humans being gods, he teaches that we willfully choose our own selfish ends rather than to serve a holy and loving God. -
Jesus could not be simply a great Guru. In Eastern Religions, God can be found in everything. He was a monotheist who claimed to be the only way to God the Father. As the ONLY way to God, He contradicts the polytheist viewpoint of the world and focuses it on Himself.
