At Christ’s resurrection, however, Satan was defeated for all time. He knows that his time is short, and so he seeks to wreak havoc on people and cause them to spend eternity in Hell.

He became consumed by jealousy, and determined to become a god himself in order to overcome the God of creation. Satan convinced Eve to take an apple, eat and hand it to Adam to eat through twisting the command of God himself. In Genesis 3 we learn of the fall, and of our Lord’s response to it. Satan has done all he can to tear apart; to kill, steal, and destroy everything of God.
