Why did Satan become a fallen angel? How does this explain his current activity in the world?

Because he rebelled & sinned against God. He hates God and God’s people, so His activities, before he will be punished eternally, is to deceive and destroy the church, the people of the world.

He rebelled against God. He was jealous of God. He wanted to be God. Because of this he was cast down with those who followed him instead of God. I have always felt that satan is the king of this world. Everything in this world is designed by him to destroy us, occupy us, and take our attention from God’s word.

Satan’s pride and wanting to be more powerful than God led him to be kicked out of Heaven and sent to Hell. Satan became God’s enemy and now wants to destroy all people on Earth, but especially to destroy Christians and wreak havoc on the Earth. The devil knows that he has been defeated by Jesus Christ, so he only has a limited time where he will try to get as many people to Hell as possible before he is thrown into the lake of fire. Satan may be trying to get back at God through the people God loves, and since God loves everyone, no one is off-limits to his attacks.

He was becoming to think and act like he was God. When in reality he was not God. His present day actions would be to convert as many souls as he can to his side by whatever means of necessary. Deny always God’s way of life.

Satan rejected God. He sought to be a god himself. He is active today in fighting against the church to destroy as many as he can.
