Satan rejected God. He sought to be a god himself. He is active today in fighting against the church to destroy as many as he can.

Satan believed he was, or could be, more powerful than God. Now, in this world, he’s trying to keep as many people as possible from following Christ. He’s a liar, a murder, and a thief, and sadly many people have, and will, fall victim to his lies.

Bible scholars of Angelology and theologians alike both cite he prophets Isaiah 14:1-23 and Ezekiel 28:1-19 as source scriptures — literary implication — of the fall of the King of Babylon and a lament for the King of Tyre: a willful rebellion prideful in nature; materialistic, vain, violent and consumed with power. The signature and hallmark of current activity in the world today. But God gives us hope, because Isaiah 14 actually begins with fullfilled prophecy manifested in the founding of Isreal in 1948, and promised fullfillment yet to come in the accusersc ingnoble end — lower than low.

Satan was the very right hand of God, his chosen angel. But he chose to be like God and became very jealous. He chose to rebel against God and to be as powerful as God. Since he could not be as powerful as or like God, his actions were a threat to God. God, therefore, had Satan thrown down out of Heaven.
