Jesus wants us to focus on God so that our hearts are right and we are truly fasting for the right reasons. -

Deleted User04/16/2023 at 04:15Broadcasting to others feeds our pride and makes our fasting displeasing to God. The focus during fasting should be on God, not on myself. So there is no need for others to know I am fasting.
