Why do you think Jesus indicated that we shouldn’t “broadcast” when we are fasting to others?

Because we will put the focus on ourselves (ego), not on Him.

It is a time to be spent with God and be filled with his presence. It is a time of humbling ourselves before God.it is not a time of bosting or being arrogant.

Because it puts the focus on me and not God. It is hypocritical, saying look at me.

It’s not about me, it’s about Him.

Fasting is for God, not for man. We must be careful with your motives. God will reward our fasting if we do it unto Him, not with our focus on getting attention from others.
