Why does it matter what teachers believe?

Your worldview influences everything you do. We are modeling in all ways to our students.
-
Because students watch us, and we need to have a belief system, and we need to live it, and be able to articulate it.
-
What we believe is often more “caught than taught.” When we believe in God’s work and the dignity of each child, then we are there to serve them instead of Lording knowledge over them. Belief is not relative. What we believe shapes our thoughts and behaviors.

The teacher’s beliefs are very important because those beliefs will be manifest and passed on to his/her students.
