Our belief shapes our behavior, the way we look at the world, and the way we treat others. Since I am a 21st Century Evangelical Christian. I see the world through lenses of grace and love for all, but also understanding their is an absolute truth that is embodied in the form of Christ. I believe as we “abide in the vine” we will be fruitful, safe, and things will work out better. I am overall hopeful of my future even though many things have been shaking in our culture. This belief in the hidden dignity of others because they are made in the image of God (imagio dei) and that in his set apartness, he defines himself as loving. I value all students, whether they know Him yet or not.

My believe system matters a lot, for it affects what ever I teach as Christian educator. Remembering also that ”I have responsibility to teach for this is my God-given calling” as the lecture said in her lecture.

What a teacher believes matters because it influences every aspect of their life. What we believe comes out in how and what we teach to our students. It is an important job to pass down the teaching of Christ to generations to come so that we can build the next generation of leaders and teachers.

What a teacher believes impacts what they say and how they treat others. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. It also impacts the passion and purpose for which they are teaching.

What a teacher believes will be infused into everything they teach. If our goal in Christian education is to teach the truth of Scripture it is important for teachers to believe in God, have a personal relationship with Christ and to believe the Bible is the Word of God.
