It is the foundation of my life and therefore the foundation of my classroom. Not a course period goes by with out mention of Christ or the Bible. My classroom rules are derived from Bible principles. My ultimate goal as a teacher is for my students to come to know Christ personally! How can I hope to lead them to Christ if I did not have a personal relationship with him.

It matters what I believe about Jesus Christ because all that I teach will stem from how I answer that question. Believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died, and he rose again and is coming back one day is what all of life hinges on. As educators we must be committed to that absolute truth. I cannot integrate biblical truth into my lessons if I have incorrect doctrine. I am accountable for what I teach students and I need to be intentional and purposeful in making sure it is accurate.

There are many aspects of the Bible that we can argue about. For example, we can looks at specific versus and disagree on what they mean in current culture. However, Christians must agree with what Jesus said about Himself. If we do not believe what Jesus said about Himself, and He was very specific, then either you are confused and still grasping with the concepts or you think Jesus is a liar.

My relationship with Jesus Christ is the foundation to my life! More specifically, as Christian educator, I have to have the Holy Spirit working in and through me to live the Christian life. How can I have Biblically integrated lessons without believing the truth of Jesus? It would be impossible.

Because my belief in Jesus Christ is a major component of being a Christian educator. I cannot call myself a Christian educator if I don’t believe in Jesus Christ or partially believe his word.
