Why does praying with others honor God in a special way?

We honor God by praying to Him just by praying. In our prayer we must or should praise Him for who he is the very first thing-put Him first. That is honoring Him.

I think praying with others honors God in that we are declaring together our faith in Him to hear and answer our prayers. We invite God’s presence into our time together.

When we pray with others, we are living out the unity of believers which Jesus prayed for in John 17. This pleases and honors God. The church praying together about something and everybody saying Amen (and meaning it) is also a declaration of united faith that God will do it. This honors God too.

Because when we unite in prayers, God is with us and God is delighted to do as we asked. God will be magnified and glorified through answered prayers.

It reinforces the connection between you and the others you pray with, and it also reinforces your common connection to God.
