Because its carrying out of the great commission, following His lead, and waiting on Him, provides honor and praise to our God.

Because God intended for us to all pray together He loves unified prayer

It is an answer to Jesus’ prayer when He prayed for unity of believers. Unified prayer can bring glory to God’s name as we allow ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit, we are standing against the dark powers.

Praying for others is special because it involves the combining of the faith of two or more people. You can get what you are praying for because of your own faith or from the faith of others. So God is seeing his body here on earth operate as One body. The Bible teaches that if one hurts we all should hurt. We are amazingly interconnected and praying for one another is a type of connective tissue. It binds us together in a very special way. It allows us to be a useful vessel and share the burdens of another believer while receiving a blessing for our act of kindness. To uphold others in this way is pleasing to God because it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).
