Christ loves the church like a groom loves his bride – I have heard that to be someone who doesn’t go to church, who doesn’t have concern for their fellow Christians, who isn’t involved with God’s church, or people, is equivalent to someone saying that they like me, they enjoy spending time with me, but they don’t like being around my wife. It is a silly example, but I think it is true. If someone doesn’t like my wife, that will create issues in my relationship with them; I think the same is true with God and His church. United prayer is a means of honoring Him; It shows unity.
