Why is dependence on God in prayer so important?

Because we cannot do anything without his enabling. Also because a lack of dependance on God hinders the motives and content of what we ask for.

Because without God we are nothing.

To help us to know we are totally dependent on Him.

By us depending solely on God, our faith grows stronger. Stronger faith will allow boldness in our asking, a stronger prayer life, and a hunger to dig into His Word. Our minds will begin to shift more towards Him than our daily struggles.

We need to develop a “kingdom” focus when we pray.
