Why is dependence on God in prayer so important?

Too often we rely on our own power and think we can handle life on our own. God wants to be there with us in all things, big and little. This is a good reminder for me.

We have a natural tendency to want to fix things on our own. We need to recognize how much we need God so that we continue to seek His face.

Relying on God proves that we completely trust God, apart from Him we have no one else or a stable position to rely on.

It is a simple acknowledgment that I am dependent on God for everything. Through this God shows us the relationship He desires to have with us. He wants to be a part of every facet of our lives.

Dependence is so important because He knows all things, creator of all things, and just like any parent He wants what is best for us. Trusting Him will protect us in this world.
