Dependence on God in prayer is so important because we need to stay connected with Him as the source of life and constant conversation with Him is something He wants from us.

in our Western world, we find help in so many other places: in the medical system, our government, friends even. But all these other options can only help us, they cannot heal, fix or make new of anything. I am finding that what we seek, we will find. But if I seek out God’s plan, and His way and His goal and His provision there is a complete answer to whatever I am seeking, as opposed to a quick fix that bandages the problem and only, at best, brings some comfort. I am finding out that God desires greater things than good enough for His people

Because without Jesus we can do nothing, we need God in all aspects of our lives, we need to surrender our will and to know His.

When we depend on God, we acknowledge our vulnerability, humility, and inability to control things. We rely on Him for His solutions. We recognize His authority over all and His sovereignty. Depending on God turns our focus on to Him, as well. True dependence on God in prayer allows us to get to know Him better and serve Him according to His will.
