Why is dependence on God in prayer so important?

Nothing is too small or big for Him, He is creative and has better plans for me than I could ever imagine. Let Him give me His best instead of limiting Him to my ideas.

I think that our world tells us to live in a way that is contrary to how God tells us to live. Further, I think that our sin nature draws us to want to rebel against God. In other words, it seems like the chances of being faithful are stacked against us (and as Christians, we know that the odds absolutely are stacked – Only Jesus ever did, and will, live a life completely harmonious with God’s will). Dependence is required in prayer because we cannot overcome this world without Christ – We need to know that He is for our success and that the process of a transformed heart can actually be achieved through devotion and realignment to the will of God through prayer. He empowers us to do the impossible.

If we rely on anyone or anything in this world we will eventually be sadly disappointed. God is the only love who is true. He does not lie or let us down.

God wants us to know that without Him nothing is possible but with Him all things are possible. Once we are able to have faith and put it in God’s hands we show that we trust in Him.

We understand that God will always have that which is good for us as we depend upon Him for His strength and provision in our time of need.
