This is the most important. Getting to know others in other country’s. Seeing that they are more poor living, but they have the love of Christ in them. Which make them rich in Christ. This encourages our students to give in God’s way and to see what they do enhances these countries and even in our country where there is poverty it helps them to appreciate more. You can just see the pure joy it enhances in the students lives.

The two are so intertwined I can’t imagine one without the other. Discipleship has the same goals as real Christian education.

As Christians, we are disciples of Christ and as Christian educators, it is one of our responsibilities to lead students to Christ. It is also our hope that our students can also share this good news to other people, so a lot more people can know that Christ has died for our sins and because of Him, we are saved.

The Great Commission is a two part calling: 1) make disciples of all the nations, 2) TRAIN them to follow God’s Word. Unfortunately, the discipleship part of Jesus’s last directive before His ascension has been overlooked within churches and Christian homes worldwide. Why? Simply speaking, I believe that’s because it is hard. It takes time, and we are creatures who desire immediate gratification. While sharing the Gospel has its own difficulties, building someone up in Christ can be exhausting. Investing so much effort and time into someone’s life can bring heartache, but it can also bring unspeakable joy. Those are the moments I look to when investing so much of myself in my students.
