When you bring everyone onboard and let them know they owned the project and what benefits the change is going to bring to us.
-
You get more buy-in from the stakeholders. Giving people a voice in the change and a platform to express their opinions, even if they oppose it, will facilitate the transition.
-
Participation is instrumental to ensure that planning will work towards reflecting the priorities and interests of all major groups and that they will be committed to playing their role in translating planning into action.
-
Involving a wider range of individuals from different backgrounds and roles allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the situation and potential challenges.
-
The more people involved in the change to more acceptable the change will be even if there are some who might be resistant. They will at least be willing to go along with the changes.
