Why is it imperative that Christian educators have a Christian philosophy of education?

It is imperative because Christian education only exists if it is based on Christian philosophy. The Bible is the bedrock of wisdom and our belief system. We cannot instill God’s truths to students if we are not transmitting knowledge and values and truth to them.

Christian educators need to have a Christian philosophy of education in order to impact the students for Christ.

As Christian educators, the foundation that we stand on is the Gospel. Our primary goal is to lead our students to and model the good news of Christ. The good news must permeate our conversations and our teaching, which is why we must have a Christian philosophy.

It’s imperative because we need to be able to integrate the Bible into our daily lessons. We need to lead our students to the truth. Academics are great, but salvation is the most important.

Having a Christian philosophy of education means that we are not only teaching our students content, but how to apply God’s truths in every content. We are able to poor into and guide our students to be filled with the Spirit and know Christ personally.
