The Christian educator will be able to connect the questions to biblical proofs or ready pieces of evidence. How can we know? The Bible has explained what faith is and it is clear that where our treasures are is where our hearts are too. The things we value most tend to shape who we become.

So that we may educate our students by introducing them to where this is emphasized in scripture. We need to be able to lead the students to an understanding of metaphysics, epistemology and axiology and to do that we have to be able to answer the questions for ourselves.

The topics of metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology are important teaching points because in Scripture. Again, we have the answers and we must show our students where to find them in scripture as well as provide talking points so they can be conversant with the world around them.

It’s important to be able to answer these to bolster our own faith and to be able to help students answer these questions. Sometimes we can grow apathetic or lazy in our faith and stop searching for answers to specific questions. We can stop pursing learning or digging deeper into doctrine because of busyness or laziness.

Students will ask questions regarding these issues – it is inevitable because they represent questions that all humans wrestle with. Therefore, since our postmodern society will readily share its own answers to our students’ questions, we ourselves as Christian educators need to be prepared to share our own answers based on absolute truth of God’s Word. We cannot stick our heads in the sand – we must be prepared.
