If you do not know these answers or even if you have never even considered them you are at risk of conforming to the world as you work with children. You will not be able to lead them to an understanding of these concepts effectively. As a teacher you need to be constantly reminding yourself of these questions and answers and challenge yourself and the students to think and apply them.

Our goal as christian educators is to guide our students to God’s truth. If I am not ready with answers, it will not help to fulfill my purpose.

If I do not have Biblically supported answers to these questions, I will not be providing a Christian education for my students. I want their education to be truth based on God’s word, and I must have those beliefs before I can teach them properly. I want to be able to respond to their questions with answers supported by scripture and God’s love.

Knowing my answers will help me to answer student questions. Students ask questions not just to understand but to test others, to see if we believe what we are telling them. Understanding my own answers will help me “pass” their test.

It’s important to have answers because students will have questions. Knowing what I believe and why helps me to answer students’ questions as they begin to explore why things are how they are and what their place is in the myriad of belief systems thrown at them by the world.
