It is important so we can help guide our students. If we ourselves have not thought through these truths of: Does God exist? What is my purpose? What is my value of being here? How can we help our students navigate these questions? We live in a confusing time for young people. We need to be rooted in scripture, and strong in our beliefs to help guide our kids through these tough times.

Is important for Christian educators to know what metaphysics, epistemology and axiology, so that when you were faced with these different areas you have a strong understanding of what they are and how they apply to your philosophy. And that you are able to teach these different philosophies to your students.

How can we educate our students on topics that we don’t know/understand ourselves? We must have answers and understanding first before we can guide and direct our students to these answers.

These questions form the foundation for our thoughts and actions, whether or not we define what we believe about reality, truth, and value. It’s important for students to see how these areas of philosophy have influenced major movements in history, throughout the world, and how they continue to influence society today. Students will be better equipped to recognize and refute false teaching when they understand its roots.

Students learn by asking questions. It is important we, educators, have a real answer for their questions.
