A Christian educator doesn’t always have Christian students. This year I have two students who are not raised in the Church. Both are living in transitional situations for different reasons. They are very critical of what the Bible says. The Christian Educator needs to understand these questions as they are asked. These students need the base structure many of our students already have as well. When you stumble over these questions and speak without confidence students may not see the answers as real.

There are important elements in a worldview, affecting virtually every aspect of teaching.

Because we can understand what society tells about those questions and compare it to the truth.
It is important to understand what is truth, today, yesterday and tomorrow.
But it is also important to explain why what the worlds holds as true, is not truth but some true, and how this can change depending of the time and even our feelings.
Yet the Word of God does not, it is constant and it answer what we need to know at this time and place, some questions will be revealed when Christ comes again.

An educator is an influencer, an influencer for God. The educator must know what is real, value what is real and relate those truths to students in a confident manner called faith.

Knowing the answers to these questions helps us understand what is real, what we value, and what is good. Without this, there would be no understanding of purpose. It would be difficult to relate to and value human life like Christ if we did not know the answer to these questions, and it would be impossible to help and let students know they are valued.
