I need to know my answers in order to help students to understand. Students will be developing their answers to the three questions. I am there to help them do this. If I do not have a firm understanding of the answers myself, there is no way for me to help others.

Our answers to these questions anchor our faith. Children need an educator that is resolved and anchored in their faith, because if we are “wishy washy”, then it will cause them to question.

    1. What is real? 2. How do we know? and 3. What do I value as a result of knowing 1 and 2 are foundational philosophical concepts to living a life of Wisdom in this world. The work has information. We are going insane from information overload. What we need is Godly wisdom. This is found in God’s word as it addresses all three philosophical questions. In other words, theology answers the questions of philosophy.

It is important because as a Christian educator I must know what is real, how to know, and what’s its value. Explaining these answers with a Biblical worldview will help the students to understand God more clearly. If I do not know the answers to these questions then how would I teach the truth? How would I make disciples for the Lord? I would not be an effective Christian educator.

If we, as Christian educators, can’t answer these questions for ourselves then we cannot answer them for our students. Nor can we be confident in our faith when we are asked these types of questions and have no ready answer and no foundation to stand on.
