    1 Peter 3:15 states:
“Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”

Having an answer to those asked by metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology, will assist us in sharing our faith with others. If we have an answer to these questions and are living in a godly way, we are hopefully bringing others to a saving knowledge of Christ.

I also think it’s important to know our answers to these questions because they will surely come up in the classroom. We don’t want to stumble through them when the world is trying to claim authority on these answers. Students need to know that in a vast universe, we were created by God for a specific reason because He values and loves us so much that He has given us very real senses to experience this world, but that because our emotions and sinful nature, He has also given us a Savior who has given us a prescription for eternal life. We can only get here if we trust and have faith in HIM as the authority, and not put our faith in man, (including in our own experiences and feelings which can deceive us).

The questions that are posed by metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology are important to the foundation of a Christian Educator. These questions of existence, knowing, and valuing the things that God has created for His most special creation, should cause us to evaluate why we are in the Christian Education field all together. All of our answer should be directly related to the Truth found in the Word of God. I don’t believe there is any room for interpretation or subjectivity. Either we are believers doing the will of the Father, or we are imposters.
As a born again Christian, I believe the world is real and God gave us our senses to experience and enjoy His creation. God has always existed, with no beginning and no end. God loved us so much that He did not make us like robots to automatically obey and love Him, but He gave us a free will to think, discern, and make choices. He created the vast universe and everything He made He masterfully created. It was not a big bang, an accident, or an evolution of cells. If so, who created the cells??? Who created the objects that collided?? We can know these things are true by Faith in the things that are hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We cannot trust our feelings and even our senses at times. There is absolute truth, and the truth is the Word of God. We can create things and discover things in this world, but God is the author and illustrator of every part of every story written in every life. There are questions that will not be answered in our lifetime, but there is a hope and trust that one day when we see our Lord, all will be revealed to us. It is our job now, as educators to share the Christian values that we hold dear. That each child is created uniquely wonderful and with a purpose, each child can learn and each child has an eternal soul that will live for eternity. We are part of their journey through their life and “walk with them” through the year that they sit in our classroom.

As a Christian teacher, you should know the scriptural truths about metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology. There are a lot of lies and deceitful answers. We need to teach our students to check everything with scripture. If what is said isn’t supported by scripture, it is false. We need to know the scriptural answers so we can help lead them to the Truth.
