As a Christian educator, knowing the answers to these questions will truly frame a Biblical Worldview for the students to witness first-hand. They will feel valued, which will increase their capacity to learn.

We are told to have a “ready defense” (1 Peter 3) for the hope we have in God’s truth. If teachers don’t know what they believe and why, why should the students? Our beliefs in these areas need to be rooted in biblical truth, and we need to be able to point our students to God’s Word for the answers they need also.

Knowing his or her own answers to these questions allows the Christian educator to focus more clearly on God’s Truth. Truth will help guide students as they individually and collectively develop their own worldview as a Jesus followers.

It is important to know the answers to these difficult questions because they are bound to come up either in the classroom or later on in our students’ lives. We must help guide our students toward a Biblical worldview so that they are equipped to face difficult questions and scenarios from a Christian perspective.
