Our young people are growing up in a world that tells them that whatever truth they want to believe in is perfectly fine. The terms, “you do you” and “follow your heart” are all lies that have been woven into our culture to turn young people away from God’s truth. As Christian educators, we need to know what’s going on the culture so that we can respond in a loving, yet truthful way about the misconceptions that are flooding our young people. Even in such churches in America, young people are not being taught that they are inherently sinful and in need of a savior. People don’t want to hear that there is anything wrong with them and often times if we share the gospel message, it is seen as hate speech because it tells them that there’s something wrong with them. We know this is truth because all of mankind is sinful and in need of our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ but young people are turning away from God’s word and believing the lies of this world. This is why as Christian educators, we need to be so aware of what the mindset is out there in the world so we can be prepared to share the truth and help people turn towards God and away from the lies of the world.

It is important to know your answers and feel confident in them. Students will ask and they will know if you are just saying it or if you truly believe it.

An educator must know what it is that they believe. How can you teach that which you do not know. We do not have answers for everything, however, we must know who does hold the answers. It is through our knowing the creator that He is able to lead and guide us in our explaining such questions that are contained within metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology.

If the Christian educator do not know his/her answers, then how can he/she guide students to find their answers in God. That would be hypocritical or impossible.

It is important for educators to know answers asked by metaphysics, epistemology, and axiology in order to shed light on God’s word for students to learn and understand how to apply their Christian belief in day-to-day activities. Without a strong foundation in faith, teachers will not be able to guide students in life decisions using wisdom from the Holy Spirit.
