We must stay connected to the Vine. In order to answer student questions from a Biblical worldview, I must learn that view.

If the truth of the Bible is one of the main parts of foundation for good Christian education the more knowledgeable a greater passion we have for God’s Word the better educators we will be.

We need to first and foremost, dedicate ourselves to being students of Christ an of God’s Word. Because His word is living, our studies of it are never ending. We need to be a model of a disciple for our students, but also need to continue to acquire knowledge of the Bible in which to increase our ability to infuse the Word in all of our teachings.

We need to be models for our kids. We need to keep studying, because each day we face new challenges. A certain verse may mean one thing to us in our teens or early twenties and mean something completely different to us in our later years. Also, scripture can sometimes be confusing. If we don’t study the Bible and try to understand it we can be easily mislead.

A failure to know scripture will make room for cultural trends, and opposing ideologies to make their way into our lessons. As for the need for continuous study, faith (growing relationship to God) comes by hearing the scriptures according to Romans 10:17. You can not ‘hear’ what is not read and studied.
