Why is it important that Christian educators know and continue to study Scripture?

Jesus is our example of the way that we should live. When questions were asked and when temptation was at hand, Jesus quotes from Scripture. This is how we as Christian educators should be in the classroom and in our daily living.

One cannot integrate what one does not know. We must know scripture.

It is important to keep learning for your entire life. If we are supposed to be role models and teaching about Christian life, then we need to make sure that we know what we are discussing.

People’s opinions vary. Cultures constantly change in regard to knowledge, morals, ethics, and values. The Bible is constant. We must look there for our footing. I like the verses from Col. 2 that Dr. Black used, “Be rooted and grounded in Him . . .”.

So that we can model the gospel for our students and lead them in the Christian walk/thinking.
