We need to continue to study scriptures because that is how we know God more intimately. What is in our hearts will flow out of our mouths. We should forever be filling our hearts with and learning from scripture. There will never be a time when we have learned all that it has for us to learn. It has application for my life over and over again, and as a Christian educator who desires to integrate the scripture, I simply must know it or I cannot do so effectively. If I want students to learn more about following Jesus I must follow him first and I learn how to do that by reading his Word.

Every time I re-read the Bible, I see things that I missed and I understand the message from a new perspective. This growth is how I know that I am on the right track.

It is important to me as a Christian educator to know and continue to study Scripture because God is revealing Himself to me through Scripture.

Scripture is the basis to all that is taught. We educators need to be equipped with God’s word in our hearts, so we can allow that to flow onto the students God entrusts us to.

I think it is important to know and continue to study scripture because it gives us the background to know what God expects of us. It helps us to teach biblical integration in a more truthful way when we know and have scripture to back us up. The more we grow and study scripture the more it may apply to us differently at different times in our lives. What it meat at age 5 or 10 is may not be what it means to us at older adults and we need to know how to express this in ways that our students can apply it to their lives.
