My response is summarized in this scripture: 2 Timothy 2:15 – Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

It established your boldness, activate your faith and removed fear.

It is important because, at different points in our lives, verses speak to us in different ways. The verses and stories can develop a new meaning for you as you mature.

Scripture is the word of life, so without the knowledge and deliberate continued studying, I will be a dead Christian Scripture and I will not be effective in my class as Christian educator.

We always have more to learn from and about God’s word. Also, even if we have read a passage of scripture over and over, the Holy Spirit can and will highlight verses in the season it is needed. There are many levels to learn God’s word. First, we need to know what it says. We also need to have an understanding of the context in which it was written, requiring deeper study. We also need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and listen to Him to be prepared in his word, in and out of season, always ready to give and answer.
